Ricky Horne Jr. is a native of Bakersfield, CA and graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles. Since graduating he has worked continuously in the film industry, initially acting before giving way to writing, producing and directing.
Horne co-produced The Canyons which stars Lindsay Lohan and was written by Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho) and directed by Paul Schrader (Raging Bull, Taxi Driver). Alongside lead producer Braxton Pope, Horne was responsible for orchestrating The Canyons Kickstarter campaign which was the first feature film to use the platform with such established artists. Many other high profile filmmakers have followed suit, including Zach Braff, Rob Thomas and Spike Lee.
He recently wrote, produced and directed a short film, Free.Lunch which starred Cory Hardrict (American Sniper, Gran Torino, Battle LA) and Alison Haislip (The Voice, Attack of the Show) Free.Lunch was an official selection of the St. Louis International Film Festival, Urbanworld Film Festival, Hollyshorts Film Festival and the Hollywood Black Film Festival. Free.Lunch won best short film at the North Carolina Black Film Festival.

His first appearance on a film was the 2020 HBO TV Series "The Outsider" as an inmate. Tommy's original passion is music. In March of 2017, he graduated college with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Production. One response to an email in 2019 landed Tommy for the first time on the set of a film.
